Captain Cat's Chat - Issue 1: "Women Of Troy"

SPECIAL EDITION FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY Read by members of Mexborough & Balby Read To Write Group
1

Details and particulars of the drama and cast are all spoken within the audio file. For the sake of posterity, it was recorded by Mexborough and Balby Read To Write Group at Mexborough Community Hub. The text was lifted from Kenneth MacLeish’s translation.

LANGUAGE NOTICE: For some reason MacLeish sees fit to insert the Anglo-Saxon F word about halfway in. In that same vein, I use a B word in the little addendum at the end. Anachronistic nomenclature is also present in the addendum, merely a phonetic gaff again arising from MacLeish’s translation.

Enjoy the listen and….and…. there will be more programmes coming soon on Captain Cat’s Chat. So subscribe now - it’s free!

PS - there’s already a back catalogue of articles and poetry on

substack:)
